Jesters and Pirates
I have a newly renovated piece of art of an old Jester (I will explain later) and a fun story about a pirate. But for those two wonderful pieces of information you will have to wait until the end of this post! I want to start with the wonderful pair of shoes I got. Now I will admit they are not the envy of all shoes like Miss Emily purchased but the were destined to be mine. I found them at Target of all places and they were on clearance. Now here comes the part thats fate… the only pair left were a SIZE 11, just right to fit my big old foot. I love them and will give them a good home.

Next we come to my fun new fabrics. I was over at my moms and she is the Grand Master of fabric collecting. She is always making a quilt or cute outfit for my daighter Zoe. Needless to say she has closets full of fabric. I love sifting through! She recently got some and tucked it away just for me. It is so adorable. Now I must think of what to use it for. So many things but such a limited quantity so I must choose carefully. I love what Amanda has done with the rug idea but alas I do not have enough fabric for such a project. If this fabric inspires any ideas from you all I would love to hear them.

The next piece of news is I have broken out my shiney new Wacom tablet. OMG! This thing can be so frustrating. I am fine using it to fill and edit colors and such but to actually draw freehand is proving to be a great challenge. Any tips you all may have would be much appreciated.

For all of you interested in my weight loss journey I am down 7 pounds after 10 days. I did cheat tonight but know tomorrow is a new day and one night does not end my diet. Hopefully posting about it here will keep me accountable. I have a large weight loss goal. I am not morbidly obese but definately a curvy woman. For those of you who experience this pain you know what I mean. Nothing fits right in regular stores let alone vintage stores. Childbearing was not friendly to my body but I have vowed to beat this pesky plumpness problem. A few curves are fine but I am begining to take on the shape of an orange.
Now onto the JESTER! With my new wacom tablet I altered the original black and white and am so pleased with the colors! Its amazing what a little color will do. You can purchase a print of him here!

And last but not least, the pirate story! My cutey of a kid and I were visiting a fast food resteraunt, you know me, a mom on the go! Well part of this kids meal was a happy surprise of a bandana with a lovely skull and cross bones celebrating the release of Pirates of the Carribean. Well at first when I put this on Zoe’s head she would just rip it off and intensely examine it. Finaly I put it on her head and after ewing andawing over how cute she looked she was bound and determined to never remove it from atop her curly locks. Once in the car I just had to snap a picture. All it took was a simple request of a cheesy grin and we had the hilarious picture below. WOW, shes cute! Can you believe shes only 19 months? I don’t know about you but I have met few children her age able to say and do what she does. Then again, I am her mother so my opinion might just be swayed.
