My body may be broken but never my spirit…

Well the tickets arrived in time! We headed to Columbus Saturday night for a night full of wonderful music by Louis XIV and my handsome infatuation, Brandon Flowers of The Killers. We arrived in plenty of time and as we make our way to the line at the LC the heavens open up and heaven’s fury begins to rain down on us. Luckily Mark thought ahead and brought ponchos for all. After slipping into the dry yet odor rich latex we walked by the crowd as they shouted out offers for our $3 ponchos as high as $50. We declined the offers and boy were we glad, the rain continued for hours! Being a rain or shine show we stuck it out, after two songs by Louis XIV the show was delayed for rain. The crowd of thousands got to stand through a lightning storm while the bands huddled in the dry warmth of the building. Nearly an hour later Louis XIV finished their set and we once again stood in the pouring rain while they set up for The Killers. Then the skies lightened and the rain subsided as Brandon took the stage. After a couple songs Tammy asked if we could move to the back because the loudness was muddying the music for her. Since I had got to see Brandon up close and fabulous for a few songs I agreed.

As we fought though the crowd full of straying, groping hands we got to a point where the sea of people became so tight I could not expand my chest to even breath. With no where to go I began to scale a concrete wall on which I BROKE my toe! Its completely mangled and looks like its been sent through a wood chipper. Despite the pain I still managed to enjoy the show and though there were some negatives seeing Brandon rock that stage was worth the hours of rain and soggy broken and bleeding toe.
