Tiny Canary Rocked!

Category: Art Published: 11:52 am Comments:

So I have to admit I was a little nervous about Tiny Canary craft fair this weekend. You always wonder if the first show will be a success. It takes a lot to get the word out and a heck of a lot of work to throw a successful craft show and boy was I silly! It was amazing! Very well organized and the people came out, oh did they come. On Saturday there were times I thought we wouldn’t be able to keep up with the crowds it was so busy. Sunday but much slower but that is to be expected.

The people were all amazing and it was a super successful weekend for me. I met some really awesome people too! Our neighbors has some really cool stuff and were the sweetest.  Sharon Bell and Sparrow Design Works, check their stuff out. I also made an AWESOME trade with Moogan Creations.  Zoe loved the doll!  Another personal favorite of mine was Yumi Yumi!  Her work is even more fabulous in person and makes me excited about school and learning even more in photoshop.  All the support and kind words made my heart swell so much. I did my best to do a few big eyed girls per the request of a few fans but those were probably it for me. I have a few left I will bring to my show next month but its just not art I have fun with. All my fans seem really supportive of this fact and I am so lucky to have people who will stick with me as I grow and change as an artist.

I am starting a series of oil paintings. Some are abstract flowers and some are hybrids. Now with it being oil it takes more time and therefore costs more BUT in my goal to keep art affordable for everyone I will still produce ink drawings and affordable acrylic paintings, just not as many as some of you are used to.

Again, thank you to all who put on Tiny Canary, it was fabulous. Also thank you to all the Columbus art lovers who came out to show your support.
